Spanish companies active in the adult incontinence market are suspected of anti-competitive practises. The competition authority CNMC said it carried out searches at several companies and associations.

Spain's competition authority Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC) is investigating possible infringements of anti-trust law on the Spanish market for adult incontinence products. The authority said that it had conducted investigations at the headquarters of several companies and associations involved in producing, distributing and selling these products on 29, 30 and 31 January. Officials suspect that they have colluded on pricing and market conditions and have engaged in market sharing

The names of the companies and associations in question were not announced. The CNMC stressed that the investigations did not imply anything about the entities' culpability.
