Arjowiggins to raise DIP capacity at the Greenfield mill in France
Arjowiggins Graphic is set to increase deinked pulp production capacity at its French Greenfield mill in Château-Thierry in order to meet higher internal and external demand. The company will invest about €1.5m in debottlenecking pulp production processes, which will see DIP capacity rise by some 25,000 tonnes to 150,000 tpy by the end of 2012. The first phase of the rebuild project has already begun and is expected to be completed by the end of June, according to Greenfield SAS.
Arjowiggins Graphic employs 85 people at the Greenfield mill and produces some 125,000 tpy of high grade DIP. Another 25,000 tpy capacity increase might follow in 2013, if DIP demand justifies it, the company says.
