Arjowiggins to sell Moulin du Roy plant,shut down two paper machines

French Sequana group has announced measures to reduce its production capacity and to cut costs. The company’s subsidiary Arjowiggins is to sell its Moulin du Roy paper mill to French stationery producer Hamelin. Moreover, the company plans to permanently shut down two paper machines at the Witcel mill in Argentina and at Rives mill in France. A company spokeswoman explained to EUWID that there had been a purchase agreement between Arjowiggins and Hamelin before according to which Hamelin purchased about 80% of the Moulin du Roy mills’ output. Now, Hamelin intends to take over the entire production site.
