Containerboard prices remain under pressure in the UK

Paper producers continue to bemoan the absence of demand and surplus supply in many sectors of the paper market. In late September, recycled corrugated case material manufacturers had to swallow additional price cuts and buyers continued to put pressure on producers to lower their prices further in October. With kraftliner prices having come under pressure in the wake of falling recycled containerboard prices, white-top testliner and white-top kraftliner were the only grades to show steady prices into October.
