Europac takes over waste management company Transcon Valladolid

10 May 2017 −

The acquisition of Transcon is considered a strategic move that will extend the number of waste management licenses of Europac Recicla and help to transform the company into a one-stop solution provider on the waste management market.

Spanish paper and packaging company Europac has acquired Transcon Valladolid, a waste management company located in Valladolid. Europac puts the purchase price at €3.7m.

According to Europac, the acquisition offers logistics synergies for its recycling branch Europac Recicla and will strengthen the company's activities in Spain's Castile and Léon region. In addition, the takeover is said to license Europac to treat more than 153 different types of waste, allowing the company to enter new business sectors on the waste management market.
