The new folding boxboard capacities are having a noticeable impact and causing producers to be more willing to compromise on next year's pricing in Germany.
Since producers of GC board decided once again in early December not to announce price increases, their focus in the contract negotiations for 2017 is on keeping their existing customers, market participants say. They also agree that prices for GC II will be coming down next year, but it seems the size of the decrease is still being negotiated.
