There have been price cuts in Italy for kraftliner. Both unbleached kraftliner from European mills as well as white-top kraftliner fell in October. Even for white kraftliner, the balance between supply and demand had shifted in favour of the buyers, said one supplier, explaining the reasons for the price reduction. It had been utopian thinking to believe that prices for white-top kraftliner would remain stable despite the massive cuts in recycled corrugated case material prices and the current weak consumer climate, he said.
