Austria's pulp and cellulose fibers manufacturer Lenzing has announced another multi-million investment in technology and production capacities. The company plans to invest €100m to expand and modernise dissolving wood pulp production at its Lenzing, Austria, and Paskov, Czech Republic, facilities. The investment is reportedly part of the company's new strategy and aims to increase dissolving pulp self-sufficiency in botanic specialty fibers production by almost 20% to 75%.

Last August, Lenzing had announced capacity expansion plans for specialty fibers at its two facilities in Austria, worth a total of €100m. The 35,000 tpy dissolving pulp investment is said to be implemented parallel to the investment in specialty fibers.
