Germany's LWC manufacturer Papierfabrik Walsum has filed for insolvency again; production is down since Sunday.

There is still a lot of uncertainty about the future of the German magazine paper producer Papierfabrik Walsum, even under new ownership. The company has filed for insolvency with the Court of Duisburg on 15 March. Andreas Röpke from the Duisburg law firm HRM Henneke Röpke Partnerschaft Rechtsanwälte was appointed as insolvency administrator.

LWC production on the 215,000 tpy PM 10 has been down since Sunday, but preparations are currently running to resume production in a short period of time, according to sources close to the company.

Green Elephant Industrial Holdings took over the assets of the former Norske Skog paper mill in Walsum mill in February. The Luxembourg-based investor acquired the mill out of insolvency and planned to continue LWC paper production on the PM 10.
