M-real Zanders is divesting the Premium Paper business at the Reflex mill in Düren to the German graphic and specialty paper manufacturer Hahnemühle Fineart. According to M-real, Hahnemühle's subsidiary Walzmühle AG will take over the complete Premium Paper business and related assets securing 100 jobs. The transaction is said to be completed in the first quarter 2012.
M-real says it has no operations left at the 20,000 tpy specialty paper Reflex mill following the completion of the Hahnemühle deal. Carbonless copy paper operations were discontinued at the end of 2011 while PM 5 and some related assets were sold in October 2010 to Metsä-Tissue.
