Market players agree on minor price increases for magazine paper in France

Almost all market players involved in France's magazine paper business have put the finishing touches to price agreements featuring minor mark-ups for the second half. Higher prices had simply been absolutely necessary, suppliers stated, outlining the main reason for the upswing in prices. Europe was still home to surplus capacity, but opportunities to export LWC particularly to Asia had surfaced in the recent past, suppliers stated. The oversupply of SC paper is becoming much more palpable, with demand generally deemed to be slower than for LWC.
