Norske Skog mulls sale of Parenco newsprint mill
07 Nov 2011 −
Norske Skog has been negotiating with a potential buyer of the Norske Skog Parenco mill and the recovered paper business of the Reparco Group in the Netherlands. Today, the company communicated that it has filed a request with Parenco's and Reparco's work councils for their advice on a proposed sales transaction. If an agreement is reached, the Parenco 265,000 tpy mill would be converted and would no longer produce publication paper after 2012. Norske Skog said it will provide more information when a transaction is presented to and approved by all the relevant governing bodies of the two parties.
