Observation period for Papeteries des Chatelles extended

05 Jan 2012 −

The commercial court of Epinal in France has extended the observation period for French woodfree uncoated paper manufacturer Papeterie des Chatelles by another six months. The company had been placed into receivership on 5 July 2011 and has been implementing several measures to improve the manufacturing process and expand the company’s product portfolio since then. In late November, Papeteries des Chatelles also curtailed production and laid off 20 employees. The company’s mill in Raon l’Etape has an annual production capacity of 45.000 t of woodfree uncoated paper.
