Production at Stora Enso's Corbehem mill in France was recently stopped while negotiations with potential buyers are ongoing.

Stora Enso decided to stop production at its Corbehem LWC plant in France due to security reasons, since workers at the plant have been much affected by the announcement of a possible closure of the mill, making it difficult to guarantee the workers' safety, a company spokesperson told EUWID. Production was stopped at the end of January, and so far there has been no time schedule for a restart of the mill, the spokesperson said.

In addition talks with potential buyers of the Corbehem mill are ongoing. One of the interested companies recently visited the site. However, the company declined to publish further details on the interested companies. In January Stora Enso initiated a consultation process to possibly close the plant in the middle of this year.
