GD board manufacturers have achieved partial success in implementing higher prices on the market in Germany.
GD board prices are on track to increase by up to €30/t on the market in Germany. The majority of market participants surveyed reported upward adjustments to GD board prices, taking effect as of the start or middle of June.
According to manufacturers, activity levels continue to be very good at GD board mills, thanks to positive domestic demand coupled with good export opportunities. Delivery times are said to be 3-4 weeks.
The price negotiations for grey board are still ongoing. The talks are currently focusing on a smaller price hike that would take effect from 1 July. Producers are confident, however, that in the end price increases for grey board will follow the mark-up for GD board.
