Order books at most paper mills are well-filled and manufacturers plan to keep paper machines running over the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Recycled corrugated case material producers in Poland reported well-filled order books in November due to good ordering activity from the corrugated industry. Manufacturers contacted by EUWID felt that there was no reason to worry about pressure on sales as the year concluded, even though they have already performed their annual stoppages for maintenance and will operate without a break over the holiday. These insiders said that they had relatively small amounts of paper on stock and are not compelled to create room in their warehouses by offering discounts.

Everything was quite on the price front in Poland at the end of November. Recycled corrugated case material prices have been stable in Poland since becoming more expensive in August. Christmas discounts were not an issue yet, and market insiders had wildly varying views about the chances of any price cuts.
