SCA proposing split of the group into two listed companies at AGM

SCA is going ahead with its plans to split the company into two listed companies "Hygiene" and "Forest Products".

The plans to split the company will be proposed to the 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place in Stockholm on 5 April 2017. The total costs for the potential split of the SCA Group are estimated to be approximately SEK1,070m (€110m). On 24 August, the company had announced its intention to split the company for the first time.

SCA has three divisions, Personal Care, Tissue, and Forest Products.The Personal Care division manufactures baby diapers, feminine care and incontinence products. The Tissue division supplies toilet paper, kitchen rolls, facial tissues, handkerchiefs, and napkins.  

The Forest Products division comprises paper for packaging and printing, pulp, solid-wood products, and renewable energy.
