Market leader has announced €40/t price hike for all deliveries as of August.

Businesses on Germany's recycled graphic paper market are experiencing reasonable business for uncoated graphic paper. Their order backlogs had improved, with selling opportunities ultimately stable with more favourable influences. This particularly related to demand for copy paper, which was growing again, as well as additional enquiries for recycled graphic grades, not least from authorities. A severe summer lull was not to be expected, market players said.

Insiders added that no positive effects had been observed yet from the fine paper business where supply was scant and a noticeable price increase materialised. Regardless of how long this price trend lasted, the market leader had announced a price hike of €40/t for August. This action was made necessary not least by higher raw material costs and applied to all grades.
