Thimm and Saica get go-ahead to acquire TOP’s corrugated operations

The Polish competition authority UOKiK has approved the takeover of Tektura Opakowania Papier’s (TOP) corrugated board operations in Tychy. German-based Thimm Verpackung and Spanish packaging group Saica had announced the transaction three months ago. The mill was inaugurated on 3 October. “The acquisition allows Thimm and Saica to serve major international customers in Poland, moreover, we have the opportunity to reach out to interesting local clients”, Jens Fokuhl, Managing Director of the Thimm Group explained.
