UPM is looking for potential buyers for its Stracel paper mill in eastern France. According to UPM, divestment of the French paper mill is part of its plan to reduce capacity by 1,3 million tonnes to cut costs and combat overcapacity. UPM Stracel mill runs one paper machine and produces some 280,000 tpy of coated magazine paper and special newsprint. The sales process is set to start this autumn and is expected to be completed within a twelve months period.
