1 January 2017

02 Dec 2016 −

According to ENCE, the $10/t price hike will lift bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp prices to $675/t.

Spain's pulp and energy company ENCE Energia y Celulosa has announced an increase to bleached eucalyptus kraft (BEK) pulp prices with effect from 1 January 2017. The new price hike comes on the heels of a $10/t mark-up implemented in October and targets a new list price of $675/metr.t, according to the company.

ENCE explains its decision with bleached hardwood kraft pulp market being in good shape in Europe. "Prices in China continue to trend up as a result of strong demand an better market outlook, which set the conditions for the same movement in Europe", the company said.
