Another coreboard manufacturer in Italy has announced a price increase. After the Paper Board Alliance and Cartiera Merati issued their demands in January, Cartiera Olona has now also announced higher prices.
From 3 March, the company wants to charge €65/t more for all deliveries of coreboard and greyboard. Cartiera Olona cites the sharp rise in costs for energy, recovered paper and chemicals.
Cartiera Olona, based near Milan, operates one machine with a capacity of 60,000 tpy. It produces board with different scot-bonds of up to 300 J/m² for the production of cores and edge protectors.
