Graphic and packaging paper manufacturer Arctic Paper has launched a price hike initiative for coated and uncoated fine papers in Europe.
Arctic Paper plans to increase fine paper prices with effect from 1 April. The company has announced a price hike of 8 to 10 per cent for both woodfree uncoated and coated papers across the European market.
"This increase is driven by persistently high production costs, subdued market demand in a highly competitive environment and the resulting unsustainably low sales prices," says Arctic Paper.
Arctic Paper operates three paper mills in Sweden and Poland with a total production capacity of almost 700,000 tpy.
