Barem Ambalaj’s new containerboard mill in the Konya Ereğli Organized Industrial Zone in Turkey has reached a capacity utilisation rate of around 60 per cent as of early March, according to a stock exchange filing by the company.
The facility completed trial production at the end of 2025 and began supplying customers on the last day of the year. Since the start of 2026, utilisation has been increasing month by month as production is expanded to different formats and quality specifications.
The mill was built with an investment of more than €100m and is designed to produce recycled containerboard grades such as testliner and fluting. Production capacity is estimated at around 260,000-300,000 tpy.
