Winfibre managing director Colin Clarke has been appointed the new president of The Recycling Association.
He succeeds Celine Grant of Re-Gen, who completed her two-year term at The Recycling Association’s AGM and President’s Day held at Oulton Hall near Leeds on 12 May 2026.
Mr Clarke had served as vice president for the past two years and automatically assumed the presidency at the event.
During the AGM, members elected Jonathan Donohue of Suez as the new vice president. Under the association’s succession structure, he is expected to become president in two years’ time.
Members also re-elected Pankaj Chowdhary of Ekman and Craig Curtis of CS Recycling to the governing council. Newly elected council members include Sarah Sanpher-McDowell of Clearpoint, Agnieszka Pychowska of Panda and Dawn Tyrer of Newport.
The appointments fill vacancies that had arisen since the previous AGM, including the seat vacated by Kevin Bell, who stepped down after serving on the council for more than 20 years across two separate terms.
Mr Clarke said: “It is an honour for me to become president of The Recycling Association and I am looking forward to taking on the role.
“Of course, I want to thank Celine Grant for the fantastic job she has done over the past two years, and Paul Sanderson, who will soon be leaving us for pastures new. Both Celine and Paul have been outstanding servants to the recycling industry.
“I look forward to working with Paul’s successor, our new vice president Jonathan, and the new council members Sarah, Agnieszka and Dawn on the issues that are so important to members of The Recycling Association.”
