The Finnish Paperworkers’ Union Paperiliitto and the association of companies in Finland’s forest-based sector Metsateollisuus have reached a collective agreement which will be valid until 31 March 2028.

The agreement outlines an 8.2 per cent wage increase over the three-year period. These adjustments also extend to shift and other contractual bonuses, ensuring a consistent rise in compensation across various types of work arrangements. Importantly, the agreement contains no textual weakening of existing terms, signalling continuity and stability in working conditions for employees in the processing sector.
