Fresh fibre cartonboard producer FOLBB has resumed operations at its board machines in Eerbeek, The Netherlands, and Baiersbronn, Germany.
The company reported that the Eerbeek plant re-started production in calendar week 43 after having been idled for a rebuild of the shoe press on 13 September. The rebuild will help the Dutch plant to reduce natural gas consumption by at least 5 per cent. The Baiersbronn machine resumed operations on 31 October.
Both machines have a total capacity to produce up to 245,000 t of folding boxboard.
