Graphic Packaging Holding Company has announced a change at the top of its management team.
The US-based producer of fibre-based consumer packaging has appointed Robbert Rietbroek as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 January 2026.
He will also join the company’s Board of Directors.
Mr Rietbroek succeeds long-serving CEO Michael P. Doss, who will step down from his role and from the Board on 31 December 2025. Mr Doss has been with Graphic Packaging for 35 years and has led the company as CEO since 2016.
According to Graphic Packaging, the incoming CEO brings more than 25 years of international leadership experience in the consumer goods sector. He most recently served as the inaugural CEO of Primo Brands Corporation, and prior to that, he held senior management positions at Pepsi Co, Kimberly-Clark and Procter & Gamble.
Philip R. Martens, Chairman of the Board, emphasised that Mr Rietbroek’s strong background in strategic transformation and value creation made him “the right leader” to advance the company’s Vision 2030 goals. He thanked Mr Doss for his decade of leadership as CEO, during which Graphic Packaging expanded significantly in North America and Europe, invested in new production capacity – including its major Waco, Texas facility – and completed its Vision 2025 transformation programme.
In his first statement, Mr Rietbroek said he was honoured to join the company at a “pivotal moment” and would focus on delivering innovative, sustainable packaging solutions and long-term value creation.
