Hartmann Packaging to acquire Dentaş Romania

Hartmann Packaging A/S and Dentaş Kağıt Sanayi AŞ have entered into a definitive agreement for the acquisition of SC Dentaş Romania SRL.

The transaction is pending customary regulatory approvals.

Founded in 2004 and based in Tărtăşeşti, Dâmboviţa County, Dentaş Romania has become a regional production hub for sustainable moulded fibre solutions. As a subsidiary of Dentaş Kağıt Sanayi AŞ, the facility has supported the group’s expansion across Southeastern Europe and diversified its product range.

From the perspective of Hartmann Packaging, the acquisition complements its strategy to enhance production capacity, strengthen its sustainable packaging portfolio, and grow its footprint in Eastern Europe.

"This acquisition is a strategic step in expanding our European footprint by adding production capacity and broadening our product range in key growth markets," said Torben Rosenkrantz-Theil, CEO of Hartmann Packaging A/S. "Integrating Dentaş Romania’s capabilities will enable us to better serve our customers and meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions."

Headquartered in Gentofte, Denmark, Hartmann is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of moulded fibre packaging, particularly for eggs and fruit. The company operates multiple production facilities across Europe and the Americas.

Dentaş, part of the Abalıoğlu Holding, is a leading Turkish producer of moulded fibre packaging. With production facilities in Denizli and Aksaray, the company serves a wide range of industries including food, electronics, and industrial packaging. Dentaş Romania has been its key international subsidiary since 2004, focused on expanding its European market presence.
