Lithuania-based investment company Invalda Invl, through the private equity fund Invl Baltic Sea Growth Fund, has finalised the acquisition of Romania's integrated tissue paper and products manufacturer Pehart Group from the Polish investment company Abris Capital Partners. The transaction, that was announced in late 2024, was completed on 11 July.
Invalda Invl and Abris Capital did not reveal the transaction price. According to Invalda Invl, however, the consortium of International Finance Corporation (IFC), Banca Transilvania and ING Bank Romania provided a financing package of more than €150m - with a significant sustainable linked component - to fund the transaction and further development of the Pehart Group.
In 2024, the Pehart Group generated revenues of €165m and employed more than 550 people across its companies, Invalda Invl said....
