The Navigator Company has announced plans to increase prices for uncoated woodfree paper by 4 to 7 per cent in Europe.
The new prices are to be implemented for deliveries from 6 April 2026. The upper range of the planned increase will apply to entry-level grades, the company announced.
With this price increase, Navigator reacts to the ongoing and significant increase in key cost components, which is putting strain on the paper industry's overall cost structure.
"Given the current disruption in the energy sector and the likely disruptions to supply chains and logistics, particularly as a result of the conflict in the Middle East, further price increases for paper and packaging may soon be necessary to offset rising produciton costs," the company wrote.
