Saica Group is considering expanding its manufacturing and storage capabilities of its facility in Hartlepool in the UK.
According to an article in the local media, the company mulls investing in a new storage warehouse with ancillary office space at the facility.
Responding to a query from EUWID, a company spokesperson confirmed: "Driven by the company’s commitment to operational excellence, the potential extension is part of Saica’s ongoing strategic investment programme. The information reported in the Hartlepool Mail marks the early stages of this opportunity. Saica is currently studying all the necessary different stages and processes, including the submission of planning permission enquiries. The company remains fully committed to its Hartlepool operations and its customers in the region."
The Hartlepool site is part of Saica Pack, which produces corrugated board and packaging.
