Sappi today announced prices increases across two key product groups, effective 16 March 2026.
Prices for mechanical coated reels are to rise by €40/t and woodfree coated reels prices by €50/t. The adjustments follow a long period of significant pressure on prices, combined with structurally elevated costs, the company says. They follow its previous announcement for woodfree coated sheets prices and form the first step in restoring sustainable market pricing, Sappi explains, stating that further increases may be required should cost levels remain elevated and market pricing fail to recover.
