Sweden's forest products company SCA is set to increase the sales prices for softwood pulp in Europe.
SCA announced a $50/t price hike for northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp. The new price of $1,530/t would be applied with effect from 1 February, the company said.
According to SCA, there was an improvement in several global markets. At the same time, pulp producers' stocks are decreasing.
SCA has a total pulp production capacity of 1.2 million tpy of which 900,000 tpy NBSK pulp.
