Smurfit Westrock has announced plans to delist its shares from the London Stock Exchange (LSE). Following a delisting, the company will retain a sole listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
The decision follows a review of the company’s LSE listing and reflects factors including the comparatively low level of trading activity in London, as well as the additional costs and regulatory and administrative requirements associated with maintaining the listing.
Smurfit Westrock said it intends to apply for the cancellation of the admission of its ordinary shares to listing and trading on the LSE’s Main Market.
The delisting is expected to become effective at 8:00 a.m. UK time on 22 June 2026. Trading in Smurfit Westrock shares on the LSE is expected to cease at the close of business on 19 June 2026, which is expected to be the final trading day before the delisting takes effect.
