David Richardson will join the Logson Group as Chief Executive effective 1 September 2022, while current CEO Alex Kelly will retire.
Mr Richardson is currently Group Managing Director of VPK Packaging in the UK & Ireland and brings significant senior leadership experience in the corrugated industry, wrjtes Logson Group.
He will replace Alex Kelly, who is retiring to his native Scotland following 10 successful years in the role of CEO. Mr Kelly continues as Chief Executive until September, and will support Mr Richardson through to the end of 2022 to ensure a smooth transition for the business.
Mr Kelly commented: "It has been a privilege to lead the Logson business. The support of our employees, key customers and suppliers has been instrumental in the development of the business over the past 10 years, firmly establishing Logson as the UK’s leading independent corrugated supplier.
"I strongly believe David’s leadership approach and values will be an excellent fit with the entrepreneurial Logson culture. He will be supported by an experienced and high performing existing management team and I look forward to observing, albeit from a distance, the continued evolution and growth of the Logson Group.”
