Belgian VPK Group has announced that it has taken full ownership of UK-based Fencor Packaging Group.

Following the purchase of a 28 per cent minority stake in 2024, VPK now holds 100 per cent of the shares in the company, which includes corrugated packaging producer Manor Packaging.

Manor Packaging is a producer of bespoke corrugated packaging with a particular focus on e-commerce packaging. It runs a production site in Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire. The plant is supported by storage and warehousing operations enabling nationwide customer supply. The company maintains a close trading relationship with UK sheet feeder Corrboard UK, which is also majority-owned by VPK.

Manor Packaging will continue to operate as a stand-alone business within the VPK Group, the group announced. However, the acquisition will lead to a change in management. David Orr, Fencor’s Group Managing Director, will retire after 26 years at the helm of the company. Tony Clifton, previously Sales Director, will take over as Managing Director of Manor Packaging.

In the UK, VPK operates three corrugated packaging plants through its subsidiary VPK Packaging, three core production facilities through Corex, as well as its UK headquarters in Desborough.

The group is active in 21 countries across several segments, producing recycled corrugated case material, corrugated packaging, solid board packaging and cores. VPK has a total capacity of 2.3 billion m² of corrugated board per year.
