Catalyst Paper is planning to reduce newsprint production at its Snowflake mill in British Columbia, Canada, by 5,500 t. The company said it would halt production for a total of six days over the next weeks and carry out maintenance work in that period of time. It added that the step was taken due to difficulties in recovered paper supply and the necessity to balance production with orders. Catalyst Paper produces around 337,000 tpy of newsprint and uncoated specialty paper at its snowflake mill.
