Spain's antitrust authority Comisión Nacional de la Competencia (CNC) opened formal proceedings against three stationery companies. Following inspections carried out on 27 October 2010 and 30 March 2011 the CNC started proceedings against Enri 2000, Pacsa Papelera del Carrión and Unipapel Transformación y Distribución for possible anti-competitive practices including price fixing and market share agreements. There is now a maximum period of 18 months for the investigation of the case and its resolution by the CNC.
