OP Papírna in Olšany produces thin printing paper and cigarette paper grades.
Delfort group's Czech subsidiary OP Papírna has started up the new PM 6 at the integrated pulp and paper mill in Olšany.
The comissioning of the PM 6 was expected for early summer but the project ran into delays due to restrictions and hygiene measures imposed by the Czech authorities amid the Covid-19 outbreak in Europe.
According to Delfort, the PM 6 will specialise in making thin printing paper, but the equipment and design also allowed for the production of other specialty paper grades.
