Demand for recycled corrugated case material in Germany is rather quiet in the middle of August but market participants do not describe it as "unusual” for this time of the year. It will only be possible to make forecasts as regards business in September in the last week of August at the earliest, market participants say. The mood in the paper and corrugated board industry tends to be cautiously optimistic as the influence of current events in the global market on consumers cannot yet be gauged. Many companies fear that a certain pessimism among consumers may affect consumption.
