Overtime and shift swap ban was started on Tuesday this week.

Finland’s Transport Workers’ Union AKT has given a strike warning to the Finnish Port Operators Association and the national mediator, affecting stevedoring work in all Finnish ports. The strike is due to start on 14 February 2022 if no agreement is reached in negotiations between AKT and the Finnish Port Operators Association before then.

In addition, AKT has commenced an overtime and shift swap ban on 1 February 2022.

Only recently AKT had started supporting the strike of the Finnish Paperworkers’ Union Paperiliitto at UPM's mills in Finland by blocking UPM goods in all Finnish ports. AKT had said that handling of paper or pulp from UPM was stopped on 24 January at 6 am.
