A fire has stopped production on all three paper machines at Norske Skog’s Saugbrugs mill in Norway. A spokesman confirmed to EUWID that the fire broke out around 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning. It was still too early to estimate the damage or to comment on the duration of the standstill, he said.
At its Saugbrugs mill Norske Skog produces SC paper on three machines, which have a combined capacity of 550,000 tpy.
