Germany's recovered paper imports and exports slightly up in first half

Germany imported and exported slightly more recovered paper in the first six months of this year. Compared to the first half of 2024, exports of "paper or board for recovery" rose by 1 per cent, while imports increased 3 per cent, according to preliminary figures from the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

However, there were in some cases significant shifts in the countries of origin and destination. The average reported value per tonne of imported and exported recovered paper was also higher than in  the prior-year period....
