Austria's packaging and publication paper producer Laakirchen Papier has announced a new price hike for its magazine paper range of products. The company will reportedly increase the prices for SC-paper by €100/t as of 1 April 2022. The price increase is said to apply to all new contracts or additional quantities outside existing contracts.
Laakirchen Papier is part of the Heinzel group. The company produces SC paper on PM 11 with a capacity of 330,000 tpy and recycled corrugated case material on PM 10 with a capacity of 450,000 tpy.
Last October, the company announced its plan to convert PM 11 to RCCM production and exit magazine paper market in 2023.
