Mayer-Kuvert-network will be the new owner of French envelope producer GPV. The decision was taken by the commercial court in Aubenas which put GPV under receivership at the end of May. Mayer-Kuvert said it would take over the group’s French sites Saint-Amarin, Davézieux and Roanne as well as one mill in Romania and the UK, respectively, and thus increase its annual capacity to 26 billion envelopes. The company explained it would have to take restructuring measures and close one mill in France as the envelope market was shrinking. French CGT union specified that the Davézieux site was the plant facing closure.
