The latest round of price talks on the woodfree coated paper market in the UK tended to herald even smaller mark-ups than in the uncoated paper segment. April and May's price increases ranged from nothing to £20/t, with hikes in reel prices proving more modest than those for sheets, one producer said in a typical comment heard from industry insiders. Larger mark-ups were rather few and far between. Other EUWID sources echoed these comments, confirming that the British coated fine paper market is weak.
