Negotiations about raising GD board prices are underway on Britain's cartonboard market. Board manufacturers had linked their plans to charge more to spiralling raw material costs, notably for recovered fibre. In mid-April, most manufacturers were still at the negotiating table, but it was already obvious that in many cases only part of the planned increases will be implemented. One manufacturer said that negotiations were done and would apply to orders placed from 1 April and deliveries from 1 May.
