A new round of price hikes has begun on the British market for cartonboard. A few manufacturers have announced mark-ups primarily for GD board, but also for GC board in isolated instances. Most talks were still in progress as the middle of March neared. Two manufacturers stated that the last talks should be completed by the end of March in order to raise GD board prices by up to £40/t from the start of April. Another producer announced plans to charge more for recycled board from the start of May.
