Newsprint contracts closed in the UK

|

The latest round of price talks on the British newsprint market produced new prices at a relatively late stage. While the UK is generally one of the first countries in Europe to finalise talks about new prices, events surrounding News Corporation and the demise of the News of the World newspaper turned the market on its head a little. British price hikes are decent compared with other European countries. Smaller buyers will have to pay up to £20-25/t more, with major clients facing hikes of around £15 and even smaller hikes in isolated cases.
